Spotlight on Acting Out Kids Theatre in Clawson

Clawson, MI – Acting Out Kids (AOK) Community Theatre is a youth theatre that is conveniently located in Clawson. We offer productions, films, YouTube and local cable shows, classes, camps, workshops, after school programs, field trips, community events, scouting events, and drop-in events every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.

Acting Out Kids Community Theatre is unique because it was created and is run by experienced kids that wanted to serve as positive role models for other kids (adult supervision and guidance are provided at all times). We are a non-competitive theatre for children ages 5-18. We provide a welcoming, friendly, casual, noncompetitive and fun environment for kids to learn acting, improvisation, public speaking and leadership skills. In addition, kids also gain confidence, use their imaginations and enhance their creativity, work as a team, make new friends and have a ton of fun- all important skills that carry over into all aspects of life! We offer internships to kids that participate with our theatre on a regular basis and are a positive role model for other kids. The interns help lead the drop-in events, assist in the classes and after school programs, and volunteer and/or perform with our theatre at community events.

Community involvement is a very important aspect of Acting Out Kids Community Theatre and we try to find opportunities for the AOK kids to volunteer and/or perform at a variety of community events.  if anyone would like for the AOK kids to volunteer, perform and/or teach a workshop or class at an event, school, library, community center, scouting event or party, please contact us at actingoutkids@yahoo.com.
