2017 Pleasant Ridge Memorial Day Pictures

Pleasant Ridge, MI – Residents of Pleasant Ridge honored the men and women who have lost their lives in service to their country Monday morning with a Memorial Day service next to City Hall. Mayor Kurt Metzger hosted the program which included a wreath decoration by Pleasant Ridge Chief Kevin Nowak and Ferndale Fire Chief Kevin Sullian. Rev. James Maxwell the invocation and Boy Scout Troop 1542 provided the flag raising.
P.R. City Commissioners Bret Scott and Jason Krzysiak read the names of citizen memorialized with tree dedications, paver bricks and benches. There were also speeches by State Rep. Robert Wittenberg and 14th District Judge Michelle Friedman-Appel.
There was also a flyover from Selfridge Air National Guard, and a cannon salute thanks to Ronald Cleveland who provided the weapon.
