Holly Schools Students Safe After Buses Get Stuck
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 7, 2017)
Holly, MI and Davisburg, MI – Holly Area Schools report that no students were injured when two buses – in separate incidents – got stuck on Tuesday. One of the buses slid into a ditch on Shaffer Road near Davisburg. Images shared on Facebook showed the bus with its front end in a ditch and the tail end in the air.
Holly Area Schools released a statement Tuesday afternoon, saying “As you may know, two of our buses hit icy patches today and became stuck. Most importantly, all students are safe and without injury. Sometimes the back roads ice over and we close school when appropriate notice is available. Please remind your young drivers to take extra precautions and drive carefully. Too often, ice is not respected for the danger it presents.”
