Ferndale, MI – Angel Kisses 8th Annual Fundraiser Feb. 11, 2017 – 4pm to 11pm  The Loving Touch 22634 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI  48220

To fund Michigan-based programs that improve care available to families who experience perinatal loss, with a focus on babies delivered during the second or third trimester.

Our goal this year is to raise $35,000 to support the following groups:

Spotlight on Beaumont Health~ Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Their Purpose: To purchase memory boxes, memento items, infant gowns and outfits and supportive materials for all members of the family. In addition to purchasing items for loss parents they would like to train staff in areas that deal with perinatal and infant loss.

With the funds that Beaumont Health receives from Angel Kisses this year, they will be able to purchase memory boxes, memento items, infant gowns, loss materials for the entire family, and have 5-10 staff attend a two-day Resolve Through Sharing loss conference.

Spotlight on Metro Detroit Share

Their Purpose: Metro Detroit is a local pregnancy and infant loss support group. They help families that endure the loss of a baby during pregnancy or during the 1st year of life. They provide memory boxes, support meetings, funeral assistance, perinatal bereavement training and an annual remembrance ceremony for families.
With the funds that Metro Detroit Share receives from Angel Kisses this year, they will be able to provide memory boxes (which include a baby blanket, hat, book, keepsake item, journal, baby ring, and support literature), early loss bags/boxes to hand out to OB?GYN offices, and continue to provide funeral assistance to families in need.

Spotlight on Henry Ford Hospital
Nichole Rekowski- Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery, High Risk Antepartum Unit
Their Purpose: To serve families whose lives are touched by the death of a baby(ies) by providing emotional support, compassionate care and the creation of memories through memory boxes. They provide resources for families, and assist in developing sustainable perinatal loss staff education.
With the funds that Henry Ford receives from Angel Kisses this year, they will be able to provide additional families with keepsakes, photographs, memory boxes and resources in multiple languages to accommodate their multicultural and multilingual families, perinatal loss door cards, camera, photo printer, footprint cards, heart lockets, memory stone, memory bear, and printed bereavement support items
