Brother with Letter Opener While Driving in Rochester Hills
Rochester Hills, MI – FROM DAY SHIFT: 01-06-2017, 07:00 hrs. THROUGH MIDNIGHT SHIFT: 01-07-2017, 07:00 hrs.
INCIDENT: 11:49 hrs. – City of Rochester Hills – Felonious Assault – #17-003065
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the area of S. Adams Rd near Hamlin Rd for a welfare check of a motorist who had contacted the Sheriff’s Operations Center and stated that his sister had stabbed him in the leg. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke to the complainant who advised them that he was stabbed by his sister in the left thigh following a heated verbal argument. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle and when the driver (his sister) attempted to kick him out of the vehicle, she reached over and stabbed him in the leg. The victim refused to exit the vehicle due to the cold and unfamiliarity of the area. Deputies recovered a letter opener from inside the vehicle that was used to stab the victim.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies requested medical treatment for the victim. The City of Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to render medical attention. The wound was not life threatening. The victim refused medical treatment. The victim’s sister was arrested for Felonious Assault and lodged at the Oakland County Jail. The incident remains under investigation.
VICTIM INFORMATION: 28 year old male, resident of the City of Detroit.
ARRESTEE INFORMATION: 36 year old female, resident of the City of Detroit.
