Police Say Uber Driver from Berkley Stabbed Passenger Several Times

Bloomfield Township, MI – On Saturday, December 17, 2016 at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Bloomfield Township Police Department with the assistance from the Birmingham Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a person had been stabbed during a fight. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center at the corner of Maple Road and Cranbrook in Bloomfield Township.
A Birmingham Police Officer was approximately two blocks from the location and arrived on scene within seconds of the 911 call. The officer found two male subjects fighting in the back seat of a 2012 Honda Civic. Officers found a 49-year-old Beverly Hills man with multiple stab wounds to his chest, back, and face.
Bloomfield Township Police arrested, Jacob Matthew Allemon, 23, of Berkley. The investigation revealed the victim and his wife requested an UBER ride home from a holiday party. Allemon was nearby and accepted the UBER request. The victim tapped on window to alert Allemon that they were entering the vehicle. Allemon felt his vehicle was disrespected when the victim tapped on the window. Allemon drove approximately a mile before pulling into the shopping center parking lot. He ordered the victim out of his vehicle. The victim asked if they could wait for another UBER due to the snowstorm. An altercation ensued and during the altercation Allemon stabbed the victim multiple times.
The victim was able to disarm Allemon and restrain him until police arrived. The Bloomfield Township Fire Department treated the victim and transported him to Royal Oak Beaumont where he was treated and released the next day. The case was reviewed by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office who authorized a charge of Assault with the Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder.
Allemon was arraigned on 12/18/2016 and bond was set at $250,000. Allemon’s next court date is pending with the 48th District Court.
