We look forward to joining our community partners to discuss coordinated efforts to begin healing, while engaging in proactive planning. The entire election cycle has been an emotional experience for man
y in the LGBTQ+ community and Affirmations Community Center would like people to know that we are dedicated to supporting individuals as they process the many feelings evoked as a result of the election outcome.
As with most elections, there is a potential for anti-LGBTQ legislation on a local, state and national level which has led to anxiety in many. We want you to remind you that Affirmations is a safe space and is available 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Affirmations is Metro-Detroit’s community center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and 
transgender people and their allies. Its mission is to provide a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities & expressions, and cultures can find support and unconditional acceptance, and where they can learn, grow, socialize and have fun.
