daytrip_to_holly_top-generalm1-realty-top2016 Candidate Interview Carol Foster for W. Bloomfield Twp. Library ctechadBoard
(Crystal A. Proxmire Nov. 6, 2016)
West Bloomfield Twp, MI – There are seven people running for six seats on the West Bloomfield Township Library Board.  Incumbents Karen Eickmeyer, Judith A. Holtz, Carol A. Kravetz, Ken Macon, Thomas Meyer and Wendy Bidgood are running to keep their seats, while Carol Foster is running in hopes of replacing one of them.
When asked why people should vote for her, Foster said “When I do something, I am committed to it. I am dedicated. And I will follow through. Right now I have been running a conversational group, actually, I helped found it in partnership with the West Bloomfield library. daytrip_vintage-farm-house_lampIt’s for English as a second language students. We call it “Let’s Talk,” and it’s an informal group that’s kind of like an international coffee klatch. Right now it’s being run once a month because I can commit myself to one time a month. I’ve asked the friends of the library if they can help me up the ante so we could run it as a weekly session because I’ve had requests from students for that. And they helped me do that, and we’re in the process of recruiting new candidates. So I do have the follow through.
In her interview with oc115, Foster talked about what she likes about the library and how she’d like to continue the investments happening, as well as about her experience helping manage a TV productions business with her husband.
