Leon & Lulu Event to Raise Money for FernCare Nov. 6

Clawson, MI – Celebrate the autumn season with wine tasting, noshing, and shopping at FernCare(s) for Fall fundraiser at Leon & Lulu. Proceeds of this special event will enable FernCare Free Clinic to continue providing free or low-cost medical care to area residents without health insurance or a primary care provider. This is our fifth year with this great partner!
Leon & Lulu, whose philosophy is “Excellent design, great prices, fabulous service and a sense of humor!” is located in the renovated Ambassador Roller Rink AND in the renovated theatre next door in Clawson. FernCare will receive ten percent of all purchases made on November 6.
“We are constantly looking for the means to open new clinic sessions and provide more services to address the need for health care in Ferndale and surrounding communities,” said Ann Heler, President, Board of Directors. “Even with the Affordable Care Act and Healthy Michigan, we still have a long way to go before everyone has access to medical care.”
FernCare Free Clinic provides medical services to people between the ages of 19 through 64 who have no health insurance. The clinic is community created and serves people from Ferndale and surrounding communities. To learn more about FernCare; www.ferncare.org.
