(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 22, 2016)dinos02sidelogo3
Ferndale, MI – Dino’s Lounge in Ferndale has a pretty varied menu to begin with, but on top of that they offer monthly specials, normally with a theme.  This month it’s Oktoberfest.  Items like Bavarian sausage and peppers, Jaegar Schnitzel, Obstzda and bratwurst offer some tempting choices.  But I went for the Alpine Herb Broasted Chicken.
The mountain of comfort food was just what I needed on one of the first chilly days of autumn.  As I made the bar into my office for the afternoon, it was nice to pick at the crispy breading and succulent bites of chicken.  The mashed potatoes and corn came with gravy, and oc115_leavesadthere was also a hot buttered roll.  I doubled down on the warm and fuzzies by ordering a hot toddy.  For those that like beer and want a seasonally-themed one, Dino’s offers Spaten’s Oktoberfest.
Everything was wonderful and I had plenty of leftovers to take home for later.
This menu is only available through Halloween, so be sure to get there in the next week if you’re interested.
