Birmingham Farmer Market End of Season Celebration Oct. 23

BIRMINGHAM, MI, The Birmingham Farmers Market will conclude its 14th season with a celebration on Sunday, October 23 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Public Parking Lot 6. End of Season Celebration attendees will enjoy hayrides (weather permitting), corn shelling, live music and pumpkin carving demonstrations throughout the day. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and collect special treats from the farmers.
The community is invited to stop by and enjoy the delicious smells and samples at the market, plus visit the Kids Zone, hosted by Birmingham Youth Assistance, for a pumpkin decorating craft. Entertainment and giveaways will be sponsored by Children’s Hospital of Michigan from 9 a.m. – noon.
“We’re sad to close out another wonderful season at the Birmingham Farmers Market, but we’ll have a lot of fun saying good-bye,” said market manager Lori Rondello. “We encourage the community to come on out and have a great time.”
The Birmingham Farmers Market proudly features exclusively Michigan-grown produce and is subject to Michigan growing patterns. October brings a bountiful selection of fall produce, in addition to fall-themed home accessories, floral arrangements, gourds and pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. Shoppers will also enjoy baked goods, freshly prepared foods, donuts, apple cider, eggs, syrup, jams and jellies, fresh meat, fish, poultry, soaps, candles and dog treats.
