Waterford, MI – In the Charter Township of Waterford there are eight candidates running for four open seats.  Among them is Democrat Robin McGregor.  She is joined on the Nov. 8, 2016 ballot by Republicans Anthony Bartolotta, Michael Healy, Karen Joliat and Steve Thomas as well as Democrats Kent Douglas, Donna F. Kelley and Matthew K. McClure.

McGregor is a financial secretary with Consumers Energy where she also served as the Union daytrip_vintage-farm-house_lampPresident for three years, increasing the membership from 280 to 640.

When asked why she is running, McGregor said “I believe in our community, and I believe it’s easier to be involved then to complain about the things that are going on so instead of complaining I want to come up with solutions that make that difference.”

In her interview with oc115, McGregor talked about her involvement with the schools both as a parent and as a school board member. She talked about working with diverse groups of people and her attempts to showcase local businesses on Facebook.  She also talked about water quality and the environment.
