Heritage Conference to Focus on Dixie Hwy Sept. 23
(EVENT page)
The 2016 Heritage Conference is on the road again with its two-year exploration of the Saginaw Trail as it traversed Oakland County. This September, the conference moves north from Woodward Avenue onto the more rural Dixie Highway. Examine the potential of this heritage corridor and the assets that distinguish it. We’ll explore Mt. Holly and take guided tours to the proposed Off Road Vehicle Park in Groveland Township and the site of the famous Renaissance Festival in Holly. After lunch, we’ll hear from the nation’s leading expert on environmental policy and economic development – Ed McMahon, J.D. of the Urban Land Institute. With hands on experiences, behind the scenes tours and an afternoon of insight from Mr. McMahon, this year’s Heritage Conference is a must attend.
