Police Say Man Who Threw
Rock at Sheriff’s Vehicle Wanted to be Arrested

INCIDENT: 11:39 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Malicious Destruction of Police Property – #16-158680
SUMMARY: A Deputy was pulling into the east parking lot of the substation, located at 110 E. Pike Street, when he observed a male subject making gestures with his hands pretending to shoot at the patrol vehicles parked in the lot. The Deputy parked his patrol car and exited his vehicle and he witnessed the subject walk up to an unattended fully marked Sheriff’s patrol vehicle and the subject throw a large rock at the front windshield, causing the windshield to shatter.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The Deputy arrested the subject without incident. The subject stated to the Deputy that he “wanted to go to jail”. The subject was lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of criminal charges.
ARRESTEE INFORMATION: 27 year old male, resident of Pontiac.
