Man Killed in Crash Making U Turn at Grange Hall Road I-75 Off Ramp

Holly Township, MI – On September 5, 2016 at approximately 5 20 AM troopers from the Metro North Post were dispatched to a traffic crash at southbound I 75 and Groveland Road in Holly Township. Investigation found that the driver, a 74 year old male, of a 2006 Mercedes had gone north on the southbound off ramp for Grange Hall Rd. The driver made a U-turn at the end of the ramp and struck a 2015 Kia that was traveling south on I75 in the right lane.  The driver of the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the KIA was transported by Groveland Fire to Genesys Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.  The investigation is continuing by the Metro North Post.
