Berkley, MI – The death of Amy Brede sent shock and sadness through the Ferndale community where the 39 year old woman was strangled to death in her back yard by a male acquaintance.  The killer Matthew Bush then ended his own life by suicide with pills.
To help the community cope, three therapists at Balance Psychological in Berkley are offering complimentary sessions on Saturday, Sept. 3 at their office at 3083 Coolidge Hwy in Berkley, MI.
Lainie Epstein, PsyD LP, Tina Louise LMSW, and Lynelle Kiranoff of Blanace Psychology are ready to help.
m1_two tone“People respond differently to loss, grief involves anger, sadness, denial, and acceptance and not in a linear progression. This loss was traumatic and triggering not only to those that knew the victim but to those who have been victims of violence in their own histories. As a psychologist specializing in trauma and substance abuse I wanted to give back to my community in this time of grief,” Epstein said.
