Royal Oak Residents Can Apply for PD’s Citizen’s Academy

Royal Oak, MI – Applications are now being accepted for the Royal Oak Police Department’s exciting citizens police academy. The seven-week course offers residents a unique insight into local law enforcement. Classes begin on Oct. 5.
The weekly classes meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Royal Oak Police Station, 221 E Third St., and last approximately three hours.
Open only to residents of Royal Oak, attendees get an insider’s look at the internal operations and challenges of the police department.
You must be 18 years of age or older to attend the academy. All potential applicants are screened before they are accepted.
You will be notified no later than Sept. 30 if you have been admitted.
