Holly Area Murder Still Unsolved, Brueger Family Raises $20,000 for Funeral
(CrystalA. Proxmire, Aug. 13, 2016)
Holly, MI – A pile of running shoes and flowers forms a memorial on Fish Lake Road where 31-year-old Alley Brueger [Alexandra Nicollette Brueger] was shot four times in the back while she was on her daily 10-mile-run on July 30.
Michigan State Police continue to investigate, and are seeking information on a four-door white vehicle that was in the area at the time of the murder.
Nicki and Franz Brueger have set up a Go Fund Me page that has raised over $21,000 as of Saturday evening.
The request gives insight into a life cut short by homicide.
Ally was our beloved, only child. She was kind, thoughtful, considerate. She had a witty sense of humor but she was also a very serious-minded indivdual. She was an RN at Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Michigan. She was working on a master degree in creative writing which she would have achieved in April of 2017 because writing was her passion, nursing was her profession.
She graduated with high honors in all of her higher education degrees.
Our sweet daughter was taken away from us in the most violent way. She was shot four times in back while she taking her daily 10 mile run on a dirt road in Rose Township.
Her wish would have been to have all of her organs donated, but because of the senseless way she perished that was not possible.
She was very humble, and would have been quite embarrassed by all of the attention this has caused.
She was small in stature, standing at only 4’9″, weighing only 98 pounds but mighty in presence.
We know that her life mattered to the people that she touched.
We are only asking for help to cover her funeral and medical costs.
