Royal Oak Police Searching for TCF Bank Robber

Royal Oak, MI  – The Royal Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, in conjunction with the FBI, is investigating the robbery of the TCF Bank located at 1811 Crooks. On August 8, 2016, at 12:03 p.m., the suspect entered the bank, passed a note to a teller demanding money, and implied he was armed. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency he exited the bank and ran southbound on Pleasant Street.
Officers arrived on the scene, established a perimeter, and began searching for the suspect. Royal Oak officers were assisted by a Southfield K-9. Investigators believe the suspect likely escaped in a vehicle parked on Pleasant Street.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect was described as a white male, 5’8”, approximately 20 to 30-years-old, thin build, with short brown hair. The suspect was wearing a plain white t-shirt, black jeans, and white framed sunglasses. See images below.
