Reporter Food: “Purple Rain” at Jacq n Diane’s Juice Bar in Holly

Holly, MI – After a busy evening of photographing the little (and grown up) pirates at Downtown Holly’s Pirate Day, my body was ready for something refreshing and healthy.  I went to Jacq n Diane’s Juice Bar at at 107 S Saginaw Road decided that I was going to be whimsical and order the first thing off the smoothie board that stuck out.  Many of the names were those of famous songs.  Like “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” which is made of kale, pineapple, avocado, almond milk, and “Jungle Boogie” which blends mango, spinach, basil, pineapple, dates, and coconut water.
I went for the “Purple Rain.” This was a mix of strawberries, blueberries, banana and coconut water.
I probably don’t even need to say that the combination was fantastic.  And of course Jacq and her mother Diane were friendly as always.  Next time I am going to try something with spinach in it, I promise.
