Pontiac Man Fatally Shot at Soccer Game, Hundreds Present, Suspect at Large

THROUGH MIDNIGHT SHIFT: 08-08-2016, 07:00 hrs.
 
INCIDENT:  16:31 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Homicide / OSCO Forensic  Lab Callout – #16-137188
 
SUMMARY:  Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of E. Rundell St. and Edison St. (Aaron Perry Park) for multiple 911 calls for a report of shots fired with a male shooting victim. Aaron Perry Park hosts a  soccer league on Sunday afternoons and there were several hundred people there at the time of the incident. Upon arrival deputies located a male shooting victim lying on his back at the bottom of a small section of bleachers. Witnesses stated the victim was sitting on the top row (4th row) of the bleachers eating and fell back off the bleachers after being shot. Deputies performed CPR until paramedics from STAR EMS and Waterford Regional FD arrived. The victim was transported at McLaren Oakland where he was pronounced deceased at 17:04 hours. A second shooting victim walked into McLaren Oakland and stated that he was also shot at Aaron Perry Park. The second shooting victim suffered at graze wound to his back and was treated and released.   
 
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  Detectives responded. Witnesses stated that there was some sort of altercation between two groups of males. Two males left the park first. The second group left shortly thereafter. The two males that left first returned in a dark colored sedan and both began shooting from inside the vehicle into the grandstands where the other group was last seen. The two male victims were innocent bystanders.  
 
DECEASED INFORMATION:  42 year old Gilmar Carrillo who was a resident of Pontiac.
 
VICTIM INFORMATION: 49 year old male, resident of Pontiac who was treated and released.
 
SUPSECT INFORMATION: Two males, possibly of Hispanic descent, and an unknown driver in a dark colored sedan that fled the scene.
