Huntington Woods, MI – Huntington Woods is home to residents of all ages which makes our community a highly desirable place to live.
Due to the changing resident demographic, we’re seeking your input regarding the future housing needs of Huntington Woods residents.
How will this demographic change impact you? Have you thought about how old you will be in 20 years? Will you be able to age in our community?
You are invited to attend a community visioning session on Wednesday, September
28th from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Gillham Recreation Center and a follow-up open house on Saturday, October 15th from 9 a.m. – noon. Both events will take place at the Gillham Recreation Center. The discussion will focus on options to address the changing housing needs of residents – people who wish to stay in their current home and people interested in alternative senior-oriented housing options within the community. We will explore the concept of “universal design” and whether housing options other than single-family homes are appropriate for Huntington Woods, as well as what locations might be feasible.
Refreshments will be provided and transportation can be arranged prior to the meetings.
