Summer Concert Series Returns to Center Street
The Royal Oak Commission for the Arts summer concert series, sponsored by Genisys Credit Union, returns to a ‘pop-up park’ on Center Street through Aug. 18
For six consecutive Thursdays, music enthusiasts are encouraged to grab a lawn chair and head to downtown Royal Oak for weekly live performances by some of the area’s top bands. Locals, visitors, kids, dogs and hula-hoopers make it a festive atmosphere you won’t want to miss.
August 11: Dave Hamilton Band // Sean Blackman’s In Transit
August 18: The Paul Carey Group featuring Ivory Darnell // The Reeferman
All concerts begin at 6 p.m. with performances by The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music. Headliners begin a 7 p.m.
