Fernando Gonzales’ Killer Sentenced for Second Degree Murder, Arson and Auto Theft
(C. Proxmire, July 9, 2016)  Madison Heights, MI – 19-year-old Christopher King was recently sentenced to 30-60 years in prison for the strangulation death, arson and theft of vehicle in the Oct. 31, 2015 murder of 59-year-old Ferndano Gonzales, according to The Oakland Press.
King was convicted based on evidence he’d arranged a meeting with Gonzales’through Craigslist, strangled him to death after sex, set fire to paper towels to burn the house, stolen Gonzales’ vehicle, abandoned the vehicle, then took an Uber ride to Detroit.
Gonzales was a hairstylist who regularly made improvements to his home and was an active part of his neighborhood neighbors said the morning of his death.
