Dear
Readers,
As you know, The Oakland County 115 News (oc115) has been growing steadily over the past 7 years. We are serving more readers than ever with news and information that makes communities stronger.
Journalism is important, especially journalism that is fair, civil, compassionate and connects us as human beings. The oc115 lifts up the community by championing the good works of others, promoting local entrepreneurship, exposing and solving problems, and connecting people in their communities and across the region.
But this kind of work needs public support.
We are asking everyone to please go to our crowdfunding page at Patreon and sign up for a monthly pledge. Even a dollar or two will add up to what we need in order to run this local news project. Those who give $15 per month will be honored with a flower in our Online Community Garden.
Or you can make a one-time contribution on our Reader Support Page.
Or you can mail a check to the address below.
Also, please take a moment to forward this link to people you know that you think might support community journalism. If you actively encourage your friends, neighbors and coworkers it can make a huge difference in getting this project fully funded.
Our goal is to get 115 people to make pledges. Together we can make this happen, and continue showing the world that local journalism matters.
Thankfully and humbly yours,
Crystal A. Proxmire
