Three dynamic historic preservation experts will provide historic district commissioners and the general public need to know information about identifying, preserving and maintaining historical structures or sites.  Whether you are an appointed official or a resident with a passion to preserve the past, this workshop will increase your knowledge and provide tools to meet the challenges of historic preservation.

As a Commissioner, you will learn:
• The rules and regulations that define your role
• The Secretary of Interior standards
• Administering the district

The general public will benefit from sessions on:
• Historic designations
• General maintenance for historic structures

Our experts are Bryan Lijewski, AIA, State Preservation Office Architect; Sharon Ferraro, Historic Preservation Coordinator, City of Kalmazaoo and royal_servicesEllen Thackery, Southeast Michigan Field Representative, Michigan Historic Preservation Network.
