Detroit Police Dance in New Recruitment Video (video)
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 24, 2016)
Detroit, MI – Dancing is not a requirement of police work, but it came in handy for the men and women of the Detroit Police Department as they have put together a video of officers getting their groove on to Inoj’s hit “My boo.”
The video shows offers dancing by the waterfront, and even some kids joining in the fun. The video is their answer to a “running man challenge” among departments across the country. Officer Dani Woods was part of the video, saying on Facebook that “We appreciate the love and support…. we NEVER stop doing our jobs!! Community relations and interaction brings us closer even if it’s for the running man challenge!”
The video concludes with information about recruitment, stating “Join the best of the BEST. Apply in person Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.” More information about the Detroit Police can be found at http://www.detroitmi.gov/Police.
