Ferndale, MI – Each year the realtors and other staff of Keller Williams Realty do a day of service called RED Day (standing for Renew, Energize, and Donate). This year on May 12 the Royal Oak office donated and assembled new playground equipment for Roosevelt Primary in the Ferndale School District.
They spent the day away from selling houses, covered in sand and sweat to give schoolkids somewhere fun to play. The playground has adaptive features so it is accessible for all students.
Realtor Scott Wright of A Lifestyle Above helped organize the event. “What a great day,” he said. “We had between 85 and 100 people show up to help.” Wright said the group took care to leave a memorial for Angel Pocock-Smith, a kindergartner that was fatally struck by a falling flagpole in 2007. Wright added that “there is a small token to her hidden in one of the murals.” Check out the new playground equipment at Roosevelt School at 2610 Pinecrest in Ferndale.
