Nearly $30,000 Raised for
Autism Program at Annual Walk
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 1, 2016)
Troy, MI – The Annual Walk 4 Autism was a fun and successful day for those who came out to support Autism Society Oakland County. “The energy created by the 55 walking teams, 684 walkers and 57 volunteers was so positive, it was impossible not to join in,” stated a press release from ASOC.
“We are grateful to our sponsors, vendors and all the wonderful teams who took part in this outreach event. Together, you raised close to $30,000! These funds will go right back into your own community, assisting the Autism Society Oakland County in our efforts to work towards meaningful participation in all aspects of life for the over 16,000 individuals with autism spectrum disorder in Oakland County and their families.”
The walk took place April 24 at Somerset Collection in Troy.
