(Waterford Police, April 23, 2016)
Waterford, MI – On 4/13/16, A 26 year old Male victim from Waterford reported that an unknown suspect had stolen a UPS package from the victim’s front porch on the 6000 Block of Williams Lake Rd.
The suspect is observed on the victims home surveillance camera exiting his vehicle and begins looking at a vehicle for sale in the front yard. Shortly afterwards, the   suspect is observed running to the front porch removing a UPS package that had just been delivered and driving away.
Chazzano02Within 1 to 2 hours of the home surveillance being shown on social media, the suspect   was identified as Timothy Charles Dooley, 33 years old from Walled Lake.
Investigators made contact with Dooley who turned himself in on today’s date.   Dooley admitted to investigators of stealing the package that had a value of $25.00.   When asked why he committed the theft, Dooley stated while looking at the vehicle he had seen the package and made the decision at that time to steal it.
Dooley pled guilty to one count of Larceny at his arraignment at the 51st District   Court on today’s date and is due back in court for sentencing on May 2nd at 10am.   Dooley was given a $5,000 personal bond.  The Waterford Police Department would like to thank the public in their assistance in   solving this crime in such a timely manner.
