As you are probably aware, Beaumont has owned Northwood Shopping Center, on the southwest corner of Woodward and 13 Mile (adjacent to Beaumont, Royal Oak), since the 1980s. The shopping center is old and has maintenance issues. Beaumont’s plan is to invest in updating the property to make it a centerpiece of the Woodward corridor and an attractive gateway to the Royal Oak hospital campus.
sideYOUpinkDemolition of the shopping center is scheduled by the end of the year. Current tenants have been notified of the plans and will be vacating by July 1.
Beaumont realizes that redevelopment of the Northwood property will impact Royal Oakers daily life. To ensure the redevelopment meets the surrounding community’s needs, Beaumont is seeking community input on the types of businesses, facilities or services you would like to see there in the future.
