Oxford Woman Dead After Crashing into Tree in Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, MI -On Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 1:17 a.m. personnel from the Auburn Hills Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal crash on E/B M59 near Squirrel Road.
Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2015 Black Chrysler 200 was traveling E/B M-59 going onto the N/B Squirrel Ramp. The vehicle left the roadway striking a tree.
The driver, a 22 year old female from Oxford MI was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Investigators from the Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team (SOCCITT) comprised of crash investigators from Auburn Hills, Troy, Bloomfield Township and Bloomfield Hills Police Departments are investigating the crash.
It is unknown if alcohol or narcotics were a factor in the crash. The Squirrel ramp was closed for a period of time during the initial investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Auburn Hills Police Department at 248-370-9444.
