(Atomic Chicken Press Release, March 27, 2016)

Clawson, MI – Restaurant entrepreneurs Scott Moloney, Matthew Baldridge, and Greg Reyner are venturing into their next project featuring chicken, waffles, biscuits, savory sides, sweet desserts, and more. And not just any chicken, but “Chicken with Attitude.”  And not one, but two locations hatching this spring in the Metro Detroit area.

Atomic Chicken is a chef-driven, fast-casual restaurant concept. Fast, high-quality lunches are in heavy demand, and Atomic Chicken is here to fill this void. The menu for Atomic Chicken will be unique for the area, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients prepared in an innovative style. Feature item, the “Atomic Chicken Sandwich,” will steal your heart away with pulled chicken, housemade hot sauce, American cheese, bacon, bread and butter pickles, and Chazzano03vinegar slaw.

Paired with the Smashed Sweet Potatoes complete with Michigan Maple and Cardamom, who can resist? And let’s not forget, dessert. Homemade butterscotch pudding as well as Treat Dreams ice cream floats. Let’s kick it back to old school style with Faygo in a glass bottle to top off this stellar meal.

Atomic Chicken Clawson is located at 331 N. Main St. Clawson, MI 48017, and is planned to hatch first of the two locations yet this spring.

What came first: The team purchased the Clawson location in late February and has been working vigorously to open right away.

“The city of Clawson has been an absolute delight to work with. We greatly appreciate their support and energy to get this landmark establishment open under a new name – Atomic Chicken – in the coming weeks.” said Scott Moloney, co-owner, Atomic Chicken.

The menu will feature lunch specials as well as after school specials due to its proximity of sideADpinknearby schools.

The other side: Atomic Chicken Detroit located in Detroit’s New Center at 6500 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI 48202 will shortly follow with its opening.

Atomic Chicken will fill a void in the fast-casual lunch and dinner market in the Detroit New Center area.

“We have received approval of our plan review from the City of Detroit and are excited to keep moving forward,” said Matthew Baldridge, co-owner. “Many items in regards to the project are in production and each day is one step closer to a final product and opening.”

Scott Moloney has his hand in many pots including the recent opening of Woodpile BBQ Shack in Clawson. Most know Moloney as owner of Treat Dreams in Ferndale and Midtown Detroit. Chef Greg Reyner, co-owner and Executive Chef of Cafe Muse in Royal Oak, is well-known and recognized for his famous grilled cheese as featured in Oprah’s “Sandwich Showdown” in June of 2008. Chef Matthew Baldridge, owner of Dinner Club Pop Up, is known for his SPAM! pop up dinner as well as being named “Best Pop-Up Dining Experience” by HOUR Detroit in 2015.

m1_two toneBaldridge has his hand in a few other projects, as does Reyner, that will be coming about later in 2016. These guys leave no shortage of projects to be had in the coming months and year in the metro Detroit area.

The three partners in Atomic Chicken, two of which are chefs, have a combined 50+ years of restaurant experience and have either helped start or started for themselves seven successful restaurants.
