Office Depot Shoplifter Leads
Police on Chase, Hits Three Cars

Office Depot, 871 E. Big Beaver Road, 3/3/2016, 8:00 PM: A 34 year old male from Flint, came to the business at stole $249.99 worth of store merchandise, fleeing outside the business through the r ear door, activating a security alarm. The suspect stashed the stolen merchandise on the west side of the building near another business before entering a silver 2001 Chevrolet Pick – up.
The suspect drove the vehicle away at a high rate of speed, crashing into three other vehicles. The suspect drove westbound on E. Big Beaver Road, and at one point, drove up onto the center median in an attempt to escape. The vehicle was able to re – enter the westbound lanes but eventually jumped the right curb, striking a “No Standing, No Stopping, No Parking Sign”. The vehicle got stuck in some deep ruts after striking the sign. The responding officers found the suspect standing outside his vehicle and arrested him. The stolen merchandise was recovered by other officers. Found in the suspect’s possession was a syringe in his interior jacket pocket that appeared to have heroin residue on it. His Operator’s License was also currently “suspended’ by the Michigan Secretary of State. The suspect was charged with Retail Fraud – 2nd Degree, Driving While License Suspended, Reckless Driving, and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.
