Troy, MI – As campaign season heats up, the ladies of the Women Officials Network are focusing on elections. The group has members of multiple political parties with the common theme of encouraging more women to run for office.
On Feb. 19 the group hosted a panel of distinguished women to talk about their experiences. Oakland County Circuit Judge Lisa Langton, Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack, and District Court 52-4 Judge Maureen McGinnis shared their wisdom, while 50th District Court Pontiac Judge Cynthia Walker moderated.
They talked about the costs of campaigning, how they used social media, and what the particular challenges were with their races.
