DTE to Present info on Power Outages at Madison Heights Council Mtg. Feb. 22

Madison Heights, MI – Officials from DTE will be at the Madison Height City Council meeting on Feb. 22 to give a presentation about the power gird in the community.
Mayor Brian Hartwell is asking residents who have experienced power outages to come out, listen and be heard.
In a Facebook event page Mayor Hartwell wrote “DTE officials will appear at the regular city council meeting on 2/22/16 at 7:30PM, at Madison Heights city hall, 300 W 13 Mile Rd, Madison Hts, MI 48071. Initial reports identify poor performance in DTE-controlled power circuits In Madison Heights based on many DTE customers experiencing 4 or more sustained outages in the past year. Eight or more sustained outages and DTE customers can request a rebate. During the public presentation on 2/22, DTE will be asked to identify the causes of outages in Madison Heights and what plans are in place to restore confidence in the grid. Public testimony will be key to demonstrating the urgency to DTE that Madison Heights customers demand reliable energy.
