TROY POLICE HOST “COFFEE WITH A COP” Feb 10
The Troy Police Department is hosting “Coffee with a Cop” on Wednesday, February 10 from 10 AM to noon at Tim Horton’s, 3331 Rochester Road, Troy. Residents are invited to join Troy officers for coffee and conversation.
Several officers will be on hand to discuss topics of interest with residents in an informal, one on one setting. The purpose of the event is to promote positive interaction between police and residents, and give residents the opportunity to meet the people behind the badge.
“We want this to be an event where residents can ask questions, share concerns or just get to know us,” said Chief Gary Mayer. “As a Department, we value community policing and are continually looking for opportunities to build positive relationships with the people we serve.”
The Troy Police Department expects to host several similar events in the future at different times and locations in the City. Business owners or community organizations interested in hosting such an event can contact Sgt. Meghan Lehman at 248-619-7263.
The cost of the coffee is free and, of course, coffee consumption is optional.
