Summer kicks off in Ferndale with its annual Ferndale Pride event.  In its 6th year, Pride is a time for people who are in gender and sexuality minorities to celebrate life and love with their allies.  Pride is a free event for all who attend and is largely paid for by companies and business.
Pride is seeking sponsors at a variety of levels to keep the event free to the public and deliver the quality experience that event goers have come to expect.  “Motorcity Casino Hotel has been an outstanding sponsor and has committed to sponsor the DJ/dance stage area this year,” said event chair Julia Music.
Music said, “In the past we have been fortunate to find funding from local business and private sponsors and we would like to continue to grow the event.”
Pride sponsorships range from rainbow sponsor at $200 to naming rights at $15,000 with many options in between.  “Every bit helps us reach our goal and continue to meet our mission and provides promotion and advertising for our sponsors,”  said Music.
