Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash talks about Water Quality (video)

Madison Heights, MI – Turning on the faucet and having clean water come out is something easily taken for granted. They wash their hands, take a shower, brush their teeth, cook, clean, and drink without stopping to think about the system that brings that water to their faucet. At least not until something happens, like the water crisis in Flint.
As people in Flint access the damage caused by switching to improperly treated water from the Flint River, people in other communities wonder: could this happen where I live?
Jim Nash, the Water Resources Commissioner for Oakland County is confident that the work of his department will keep that from happening. Nash spoke to the oc115 recently at the George W. Kuhn Drain site in Madison Heights about the role of the WRC and the newly formed Great Lakes Water Authority in keeping water safe.
