Late Entry that Occurred on 1-8-2015: 
INCIDENT:  22:21 hrs. – Orion Township – Animal Complaint – Animal Rescue – #16-4613
SUMMARY:  Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Marie Drive for an animal complaint.  The caller was able to hear an animal in distress somewhere near his residence.  With assistance from the caller, Deputies located a small mixed breed light in color dog stuck in a creek bed with obvious signs of hypothermia. After the dog was removed from the creek, HowesLocationthe dog appeared to be lifeless. A Deputy performed lifesaving techniques (chest compressions along with warm blankets from the caller) and were able to revive the dog.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  The owner of the dog was located via his dog tag. He and his wife had been looking for the dog ( Rocky age 15) who had gone missing 12 hours earlier. The dog was returned to its owner who took the dog to a local veterinarian for treatment. A photo of the dog the day after the rescue is attached.  The dog is still recovering at home.
