Ferndale, MI – The folly of the former Ferndale Housing Commission Executive Director can mean a really nice ride for a lucky buyer.
Former Director Deborah Wilson, who is now in jail for stealing prescription medication from residents, bought the fancy car for her business use at a time when the program fell short of giving residents the kind of home the HUD requires.
With new people in charge, things are changing, and it is time for the sports car to go.
The 2008 Dodge Charger, fire engine red, has only 15,000 miles.   Blue book value is $7,500, but the Commission is selling it for just $5,000. The money from the sale will go towards expenses of the housing program to help make improvements in the interest of the residents.
