Ferndale, MI – 2015 was an amazing year for the Oakland County 115 News as we began growing in new communities, and as we tackled some challenging stories. We also got some nice recognition in other publications, including The Detroit News, Downtown Publications, and Metro Times. Perhaps the work with the most impact was the uncovering of problems and the monitoring of solutions for the Ferndale Housing Commission, and our coverage of local elections. We also make the unusual move of going across the country to Victorville, California to cover a murder trial that no other media was paying attention to.
