Police Seek Info in Murder of Pontiac Resident

Pontiac, MI – Update to Homicide – #15-202608 which occurred on December 13, 2015 in the City of Pontiac:
On December 13, 2015, around 4:50am, Deputies were dispatched to the 190 block of Auburn for a report of an unconscious subject lying down out front of an abandoned residence. Upon arriving, Deputies found a subject lying on the sidewalk deceased with head trauma.
After an autopsy was completed by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office, it was determined that the cause of death was “blunt force trauma multiple times to the victims head area.”
During the investigation, it was determined that the victim was walking home from a friend’s home in the 90 block of Shirley to his girlfriend’s residence off of Woodward Ave. near Jackson when he was fatally beaten. A motive is unknown at this time and it is unknown if he was robbed.
The deceased has been identified as Billy Kim-Duane Officer (AKA: Kim Officer) a 58 year old resident of the City of Pontiac.

INCIDENT: 04:53hrs. – City of Pontiac – Death Investigation/ Possible Homicide – #15-202608
SUMMARY: Deputies were sent to the area of S. Paddock Street and Auburn Rd to conduct a welfare check. The caller, who was walking to the local gas station, noticed a subject lying on the sidewalk. The caller indicated that the victim was bleeding and could possibly be deceased. Deputies responded and began to check the area. The victim was located on a sidewalk near the 200 block of Auburn Rd.  Paramedics from STAR EMS responded to the scene.  It was determined that the victim suffered blunt trauma to the back of his head and was pronounced deceased at the scene via telemetry. The incident is being investigated as a potential homicide. An autopsy will be performed.
OUTCOME OF THE INCIDENT:  The scene was secured and the area was preliminary canvassed for any evidence and possible additional witnesses. Detectives and the OCSO Forensic Crime Lab was requested and responded to the scene. The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and responded to take custody of the deceased. The incident remains under investigation.
