Ferndale Rotary Pancake
Breakfast a Delicious Success
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Dec. 15, 2015)
Ferndale, MI – A tradition continued as Ferndalians and neighbors gathered for the annual Rotary Pancake Breakfast. For the first time the even was held at M-Brew, a unique restaurant/event space with a Michigan theme and walls lined with vintage video games. Volunteers made flapjacks, sausage and eggs for guests, and there was also a silent auction. Mimosas added to the cheer of the early-morning crowd, many of whom were headed off to the Ice Festival after fueling up.
The Ferndale Rotary is a 90-year-old service organization that is part of Rotary International. Among their good deeds are raising money for scholarships for local students, and giving away bike helmets at the annual Bike Rodeo.
