Auburn Hills, MI – Following an extensive search, Dawn Aubry, of Oakland Township, has been selected to become Oakland University’s Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Aubry brings more than 20 years of higher education experience in roles of continually increasing responsibility to the position. Most recently, she served as interim assistant vice president for Student Affairs and interim director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Her other roles since joining Oakland in 1998 have included stints as associate director of Undergraduate Admissions, director of New Student Programs and assistant director for New sidebar012stairsStudent Programs. Aubry also spent time working at Kent State University and the University of Cincinnati early in her career.

“Dawn has a reputation and a track record for being a collaborative and adaptable leader,” said Paul Schroeder, associate vice president for Enrollment Management. “She has had great success, especially in developing and implementing new enrollment initiatives, engaging faculty, students and alumni in the recruitment process and leading a team of experienced admissions professionals.

Schroeder added, “Dawn has led and contributed to many of the efforts that have resulted in our undergraduate enrollment accomplishments. It is a rather remarkable statistic when you consider that Oakland University has enjoyed 17 years of continual student population growth.”

Aubry received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oakland University, her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration & College Student Personnel from Kent State University, and is currently a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership program at Oakland.
