Communities Come Together
for 2015 Holiday Parade in Pontiac
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Dec. 5, 2015)
Pontiac, MI – The heart of Oakland County beat loudly on Saturday, with sounds of holiday cheer filling Saginaw Street in Downtown Pontiac for the annual Holiday Extravaganza Parade. Marching bands from multiple schools, including Waterford, White Lake and Milford, joined the Pontiac High School Phoenix marching band to perform holiday songs for the cheering crowds that lined the street. Other groups sang carols or did chants as they made the over 60 minute march through the city.
Among the dozens of groups represented in the parade were children from every school in the Pontiac District, the Pontiac Lions Club, Pontiac Rotary, Rochester Adams DECA, multiple church groups, elected officials from Pontiac and surrounding communities and many more!
