Tea & TED: Why Do We Sleep?

Russell Foster, a circadian neuroscientist, shares three popular theories about why we sleep, busts some myths about how much sleep we need at different ages, and hints at some bold new uses of sleep as a predictor of mental health.
Gather at the library for Tea & TED on select Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:15pm. These “brown bag lunch” events will include a TED video presentation (18 minutes or less) followed by a moderated, open discussion on the presented topic.
Tea & TED is sponsored by the City of Royal Oak Health and Wellness Committee and ROPL. Refreshments provided by the Royal Oak Community Coalition. All programs are free and open to the public.
