BE A KID FOR A KID!! Kick off the season of Giving!! How often do you just want to be a kid again?? Here is your opportunity to enjoy all the things we used to do as a kid…just a little “Adultified” Come and enjoy an evening of games, entertainment and raffles, clowning around and coloring!! This event will have an “Adultified” kiddie menu along with “Adultified” kiddie cocktails. Tickets will include food and fun. ALL proceeds will go to Blessings in a Backpack for both the Ferndale and Royal Oak public schools. For those of you who don’t know Blessings in a Backpack:
Blessings In a Backpack is a “neighbor-helping-neighbor” program that is designed to help meet the nutritional needs of children and families.
Each week, volunteers, in cooperation with school officials, distribute backpacks filled with enough non-perishable food for the weekend (six meals) to “at-risk” students. These students are participants in the government subsidized free or reduced fee hot lunch program.
The goal of the Blessings in a Backpack program is to keep these students from going hungry on the weekends and remove barriers to academic success.
Ferndale and Royal Oak combined have almost 3,000 students on free or assisted lunch. Statistics show that 80-85% of these children go home on the weekends and have no food to eat. Blessings in a Backpack’s motto “Feeding the future of America”. Please come and help support our future here locally. $100 feeds one student for an entire year!
This is going to be a fun filled event! We also ask that if you could bring one NEW toy. We will be collecting toys for Mandys Place – Oakland county Children’s Village as well.

Tickets are $35 ahead of time and $45 at the door.
If you simply want to donate please go to http://www.blessingsinabackpackmi.org/ HOWEVER PLEASE make sure to Assign your donation to Ferndale or Royal Oak..otherwise it will just go to the charity as a whole.
