Hazel Park High School Drama Club presents “Hound of the Baskervilles”
Sherlock Holmes’ Most Spine Chilling Mystery Brought to Life
Hazel Park High School’s Drama Club presents “Hound of the Baskervilles” on Thursday, November 19, Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Hazel Park High School located at 23400 Hughes.
All are welcome to attend. Tickets are $5 for students and $6 for adults. On Thursday, November 19, students with a student ID can get in for $4.
“Hound of the Baskervilles” is set in the Victorian time period. Sir Henry is heir to the Baskerville fortune, a legacy that comes with a family curse: death at the teeth of a horror. As the hound terrifies the countryside and mysterious lights signal Baskerville Hall, suspicion flourishes. Only Sherlock Holmes can stop the beast.
Director Frank Polito said, “It’s so exciting to introduce more plays than just the typical comedy to a group of young actors.”  The cast and crew are made up of high school students from 9th grade to 12th grade, who rehearse every day after school.
The Hazel Park High School Drama Club produces two shows per school year; a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. The club meets every Tuesday after school.  For more information, visit facebook.com/hphsdrama.
