for Families

The first flurries of the season Fell his families gathered in Sorensen Park to enjoy Holly Recreation’s Holly Ween celebration.
With fresh cider and donuts from The Holly Donut Shop, The sugared up little princesses, bandits, and pirates enjoyed games and prizes, face painting and pony rides.
An exciting part of the festivities was hopping aboard the tractor-pulled wagon and riding through the woods to the pumpkin patch where they could pick out a little orange pumpkin for their very own.
Ellen Sorensen and her husband Harvey took joy in taking the children on this magical journey. The couple met at a high school dance over 50 years ago and have both lived in Holly their entire lives. With their children moved away to different states, they spend their time volunteering and making sure events like Holly Ween go off without a hitch.
Other volunteers from the Recreation Department and the Parks and Rec. Board served up the snacks and helped the kids with the games.
